Climate Neutrality by 2050: A Pathway for Industry

11 March 2020
Location:
Brussels, Belgium

The European CCUS Projects Network organises an expert discussion on industrial transition options. In light of the European Union’s increased climate ambitions for 2030 and 2050, and the recent European Green Deal, an ambitious yet realistic strategy to decarbonise Europe’s industries while maintaining competitiveness is required. This event aims to discuss different technology options (including CCUS, hydrogen, electrification and bioenergy) and policy frameworks. It will bring together top speakers from industry, the public sector and NGOs to present and debate different perspectives on the pathway to climate neutrality.

Eleni Zika, BBI JU’s Head of Programme, will give a presentation on the role of bio-energy in decarbonising industry.
